Client failed to track last pulse, and following pulse attempts failed

Description
After my pulse on 2010/04/04, at 03:47:09, my client's "total" counter of keys pressed was off by approximately 2000. Any further attempts to pulse resulted in the standard message of "Pulsing...\nPulse done!", but the local "current" counter was not reset, and neither the online nor local "total" counter was incremented. According to wasted, the site reported bad token replies. However, there were no error messages on my side. Restarting WhatPulse did not fix the problem, but resetting my token did, and I was able to successfully pulse twice since then.
I am runnning Gentoo x86, mostly the stable branch (including glibc). My WhatPulse executable and configuration files are both on my /home partition, which is XFS. I had set the executable to be immutable (chattr +i) some days ago, but have been able to pulse with that, and had unset it during my attempts to get the last pulse through. My username on whatpulse.org is Sevis, and userid is 294160.

Took a look at dmesg and noticed that I missed an error:
