Description
Please offer a D-Bus interface so that any D-Bus client application can provide its own interface for the user to control it.
Qt 4 has built-in D-Bus bridging support allowing easy integration with the common Desktop Bus.
Example:
On KDE 4, the plasma desktop allows to develop widgets reporting informations gathered on the D-Bus. With this feature supported by whatpulse, it would become easy to add a small widget providing appealing user feedback and allow her/him to pulse manually.
The same can be done under Xfce, Gnome, ... without requiring from whatpulse.org developers to re-implement their work for any flavour of existing linux desktop.
Even the default whatpulse GUI may use the D-Bus to get its work done.

- Priority changed from High to Low
I'll keep the suggestion in mind, but it's extremely low priority. I just don't see why you would need to duplicate the geek window's functionality in a standalone app.

First, I want to recall everyone that this is a suggestion and nothing else.
Second, I see some pretty fun possibilities :
1) develop a desktop widget which would be skinnable/themeable
2) integrate those stats in a more complete monitoring widget with CPU load, HDD I/O /sec, CPU Temp, ...
3) d-bus is remotely manageable allowing to add on a common flat monitoring screen the small boxes for each of the colleagues in the room or so (that would be quite fun !) (any intentionally bad usage of this is out of your responsibilities)
4) is that it allows things like the geek window to become an extra not to be maintained by you. E.g you had to choose not to include it in the taskbar which would not be everyone's choice : everyone would be able to do that choice without bothering you if it had been standalone from the start, thanks to d-bus.

Could be useful for tablets (in lockscreens, homescreens or something)
